What to expect during a
Deep Community Experience

Our hopes for those attending a Deep Community Experience is that you will walk away with hope, with a better understanding of yourself, others and God, and that you will experience what it could look like to relate to one another the way the Trinity relates.  Sustainable change in our lives, in the ways we relate with one another and God, is a lifelong journey.  Stepping away for an intensive to allow God to work deeply in our hearts can help facilitate that.  We purposely do not call our events retreats, because they are actually a deep dive into process and quite simply, hard work.  Yet, there is a joy in allowing God’s deep work in the dark and distant corners of our hearts that we have left inaccessible—God’s healing can begin!

Schedule

Please review the linked schedules to see which one works best with your team situation. Please contact us to explore available dates.

Location

We prefer a space that creates a retreat-like environment for the team. We understand that this option is not always possible. We will need a meeting room that has space for creativity, tables and chairs, TV with HDMI or data projector with Bluetooth speaker, and wall space to hang banners.

Ministry Activity

We ask that you please refrain from any ministry activities during the Deep Community Experience days. We count it a joy to be able to bring this experience and ask that each participant give their 100% focus and commit to attend all sessions.

Financial

Deep Community Experience Facilitators are donor-supported; we do not charge a fee for the Deep Community Experience, and we cover our own flights to and from the nearest airport to the event. However, we do ask the host site to provide local ground transportation, food, and housing during the Deep Community Experience. (Housing can be in homes or a hotel, but we ask that each facilitator be provided their own room unless traveling with their spouse.)

Materials Needed

We also ask the host site to provide some materials. Please see the linked document: “supplies list.” If particular supplies are not available in the host country, please let us know as soon as possible.

Community

Our sessions are interactive and done in community with others.  Having a group of people with whom you are willing to share and engage is vital.  The group can be a ministry team, or a group of friends, or a group of acquaintances with a shared hope for growth & healing.

“In the end, it doesn't matter how well we have performed or what we have accomplished- a life without heart is not worth living. For out of the heart this wellspring of our soul flow all true caring and meaningful work, all real worship and all sacrifice."
